«Сатана» на мирной службе. «Satan» on Peaceful Service.

На этой неделе околоземная орбита пополнилась сразу шестью спутниками разных стран. Назначение космических аппаратов: от дистанционного зондирования Земли, телекоммуникаций — до наблюдения за экологией и чрезвычайными ситуациями на планете. Иностранные космические аппараты вывела на орбиту с космодрома Байконур некогда грозная баллистическая ракета РС-20, которую в НАТО называли «Сатаной».

This week the near-earth orbit has been replenished with six satellites of different countries at once. Spacecrafts’ intended purposes include Earth remote probing, telecommunications, ecological monitoring and that of emergencies. Once a menacing ballistic missile nicknamed by NATO the Satan RS-20 placed these foreign satellites in orbit after its launch from cosmodrome Baikonur.

Cette semaine l’orbite circumterrestre s’est complétée de six satellites des pays divers à la fois. La destination des appareils spatiaux est le sondage télémetrique de la Terre, les télécommunications, le monitoring écologique et celui des situations d’urgence. Les astronefs étrangers ont été placés en orbite par le missile balistique jadis menaçant RS-20 que l’OTAN avait auparavant appelé le Satan.
